What size are your Bath Bombs?

Our Jumbo, Shea Butter, Dessert and Tropical bath bombs are advertised as 180g  this is usually minimum weight as each bomb is slightly different, we often find our bombs to weigh in excess of 200g!  They are approximately 7.5-8cm in diameter a truly massive bomb bath that the price tag does not reflect!

Why do you wrap your products?

One reason is we feel presentation is very important for our brand.  We want each customer to feel like they have been given a gift when they receive our bath bombs or soap slices.  Of course it takes time and costs us money but we feel the experience of our products should not be limited to their use but from the moment our customers open the box.

We cut our soap to order and wrap them in wax paper immediately.  This ensures that the product arrives fresh and the scents do not mix with other products ensuring maximum fragrance and freshness when they arrive.

We wrap our bath bombs immediately to lock in the fragrance and ensure fragrances do not mix with other products.  Bath Bombs are also quite fragile in nature and wrapping them helps to ensure the product arrives fresh and in prime condition.  (note we try to pack everything carefully and with added protection to ensure they arrive with our customers as intended).

What is SLS & Paraben Free?

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a chemical foaming agent used in many cosmetics products and is widely to be a skin irritant.

This article What is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate published by The Conversation, provides an informative insight into SLS.

What are parabens?

Parabens are the most widely used preservatives in cosmetics and personal care products such as soap.

To get a bit science-y, parabens are esters (a compound formed from acid and alcohol) of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. The most common are methylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben.

Companies use parabens to extend the shelf life of products and prevent growth of bacteria and fungi in, for instance, face cream. And that's good, right? Mold is essential to blue cheese, but who wants to smear her face with it?

For this reason we decided to supply Handmade Olive Oil Soap Soaps that are SLS & Paraben Free.  Otherwise why use essential oils in the soaps if there are agents within the soap like SLS that are counter active.

Are Your Products Vegetarian and Vegan friendly?

All of our products are vegetarian friendly and all apart from our Propolis Soap can be considered to be Vegan friendly.  We feel that there is a fine line between what one person to another may consider to be vegan so we do not advertise our product range to be Vegan for that reason.

What is Shea Butter?

Shea butter is a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, salve or lotion.

Sheabutter contains Vitamin F, which improves the elasticity of the skin and prevents desquamation and dryness. It soothes the skin and its pleasing smell relaxes. It is also an excellent cell regenerator and can prevent skin ageing and wrinkles.
